Space
flights
What I would
say on this is that every time we see on TV the
launch of a space rocket or space shuttle, we
cannot fail to wonder if all that smoke and pollution
is really and honestly doing us any good at all.
"It's
in the interests of space exploration" I
hear some of you saying. Yes, I too am very keen
on space exploration. But we now know what is
on the moon, we have enough knowledge of mars
and our other planets to keep our scientists analysing
the data for decades. We have to stop this method
of launching and develop a cleaner more efficient
way. We're choking our own atmosphere for the
sake of a long term plan. Surely we have enough
geocentric satellites up there for the next 20
years.
The way
forward must be in the development of cleaner
launch techniques. I still love the idea of the
thin tube which is attached directly to a geocentric
space station - straight up would be by means
of an electro magnetic lift - brilliant.
