Waisalima Beach Resort is located in a secluded setting accessable only by boat on the east coast of Kadavu Island. Backed by tropical rain forest with bsolute beachfront deluxe & standard bures, this is the ideal budget travellers retreat. The property faces the Astrolabe Reef and offers PADI registered Scuba Dive Centre & Training Facility.

Originally established as a dive resort & operating as Nukubalavu Resort, the owners, after temporary closure for upgrading works in 1998/99, decided to reopen with a new name & named the Resort - Waisalima Beach Resort - after the locations' traditional name, Waisalima.

The name, WAISALIMA, in the Kadavu dialect translates to mean five water sources & refers to the five fresh water springs located on or near to the property.

The resort is a popular destination for visitors from all over the world who come mainly to witness the magnificent underwater world of the Northern Great Astrolabe Reef, which is only minutes from the Resort by boat.
